Giving Back
Giving Back is a fundamental value at Comprehensive Autism Center, Inc. (CAC) and we strongly believe in taking a personal interest in the vitality of our surrounding communities. Through financial or volunteer efforts, CAC contributes to local and national non profit organizations. Below are some of the organizations that CAC contributes to:
Re Spectrum Community (www.respectrum.org)
Re Spectrum Community assists and guides families in creating change, both within their immediate families and among the autism community, through therapeutic support and community activities for the whole family.
Oak Grove (www.oakgrovecenter.org)
Oak Grove is a nonprofit 24-hour residential and educational treatment center that serves 76 children who live on campus and an additional 80-90 day students who attend our nonpublic school day program. Children and youth are admitted with a variety of psychological, social, emotional, behavioral, medical and neurological problems with concurrent behavioral difficulties, school problems, family dysfunction and alcohol or substance abuse.

The Foundation’s primary mission is to increase awareness of Autism and to provide financial support for education, therapies, families and research organizations that enrich the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org)
Autism Speaks is an autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Children’s Bureau (www.all4kids.org)
Children’s Bureau is comitted to ending child abuse by focusing on preventing the deep social ills that plague many communities such as crime, school failure, alcohol/drug abuse, homelessness, unemployment, etc. They assist struggling families with young children by offering comprehensive programs and services in four key areas: nurturing parenting, school readiness, good health and financial stability.

Compadres is an organization that seeks to proactively help women throughout the world by leveraging the concepts of microlending and microfinance, in an effort to help disadvantaged women in third world countries start businesses that will allow them to build a foundation that will grow over generations.
