Comprehensive Autism Center, Inc. specializes in designing researched based programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We provide our staff with a structured curriculum to teach each child. In addition, we provide all staff with an intense comprehensive paid training with instruction in autism, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), teaching strategies, and behavior management. Employees also participate in ongoing monthly paid training and regularly scheduled team meetings for each client. Behavioral Skills Trainers are required to have the following:
- B.A. in Psychology or related field or in route to a B.A. in Psychology or related field.
- Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Received a minimum of 60 hours of training in ABA through Comprehensive Autism Center
- Passed Comprehensive Autism Center’s written and field evaluations
Behavioral Skills Trainer applicants should be en route to an undergraduate degree with a major in Psychology, Child Development, Education, or related field, and with at least 2 years undergraduate education. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with typically developing children, children with special needs, or will have previous experience providing behavioral treatment. Reliable transportation and auto insurance required as job entails travel between clients’ homes.
Consultants are required to have the following:
- At least an M.A. in Psychology or related field.
- Certified as a B.C.B.A. (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), or B.C.A.B.A (Board Certified Associate Behavorial Analyst)
- Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
All of our Consultants have their B.C.B.A. or B.C.A.B.A., and at least 3-5 years of experience in management or supervision of ABA programs. Our Consultants, along with the Clinical Director, will be evaluating, designing, and customizing programs for each of our clients. They will interact with the Clinical Director on a consistent basis to help ensure rigorous and on-going trainings for our Behavioral Skills Trainers. Reliable transportation and auto insurance required as job entails travel between clients’ homes.
